It’s the year 3030…

TyBoe and I purchased tickets to see Del this coming Sunday. When I first found out he was coming, I was absoultely interested but then I almost backed out because it was on a Sunday and down in the city, but then I realized that Deltron 3030 is one of the best hip-hop albums ever made and that Both Sides of the Brain was integral to my love of the genre in high school and was a soundtrack to skate sessions for entire summers. What a great decision.

Magnificent

Today has been one of the busiest work days ever but I have had a lot of random things coursing through my brain veins.

I’m such a baby, yeah the Dolphins make me cry. That is for you Hot Rod. This came up because I was trying to think of who the NBA players were in the video and I could only come up with 3 of the 5 off the top of my head.

I ordered this last night, shipped today, should be here by the weekend for gaming pleasure. He’s on fire!

Sprung

First cook out of the season today. A little pong, a little draft day manifesto-ing, a little jersey/tank-top weather. I spent about an hour poolside in AZ making a mix just for such an occasion and I am fit’n to bust it out today. Sixers victory last night was the best basketball game I have ever witnessed in real life. The playoff atmosphere is an entirely different animal and I feel very fortunate to have been able to attend with the best of buds.

I need everyone to know right now that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs new album is front to back 5 mics, 5 stars, 5 ice cream cones, whatever system you want to use to rate it. It kicks off with the dancy opener, Zero, and hits on all cylinders from the get-go. Every track has an ominous feel yet looming danceability, even if it is dancing in the bedsheets to Skeleton or Little Shadow. Go get this now. Please.

First full day spent poolside and I am already sunburned. Never fails that I burn the first day out and this could make the rest of the trip rough. Spring Break 2K9. I’ll post some pictures when I get a minute tomorrow morning while watching Saturday morning cartoons and eating cereal.
