Ludwig has always came out with solid offerings in my mind, and I really like this shirt from the newest editions.
Instead of buying Akira on BluRay, I bought a 1′ foam roller for Max Strength training and the first volume of Preacher. Is this a better decision? Please let me know.
Kid Cudi has a song on the Transformers 2 trailer, which is weird. I downloaded Cubase and I am going to try to install and figure somethings out on that tonight.
I almost bought World of Warcraft at Circuit City for 10$ yesterday on my lunch break.
Yesterday Akira came out on Blu-ray and though I’m trying to minimize expenses, I don’t know if I can pass this up.
Sundays have turned into a “Sunday Cinema” at the house for Scott and I the past couple weekends. Starting with a Tom Cruise festival including the movies Legend, Cocktail and Mission Impossible. Well, this weekend we watched Shogun Assassin, Chinatown and Pootie Tang.
Shogun Assassin was fantastic and I’ve been meaning to see it for a while, and it made me want to make some beats out of the soundtrack/score. I also obviously listened to GZA’s Liquid Swords after watching it. I’m still debating moving my desktop down stairs for media/production purposes and to free up space in my room but I would want to get a laptop if I did that.
Kenny Powers is the man. Please watch Eastbound & Down. Foot Fist Way and Hot Rod as well if you haven’t seen those either.
Ellsworth’s cooking has got me inspired along with the fact that I took a break from cooking for a few weeks because I got pretty lazy, but I’m back on the kitchen duty and have been cooking up some delights lately and about to also start Maximum Strength Program, so everything has got me pumped.
I also have been writing at least a little something every day and my conversation with Aaron has really got me back in grind mode for writing and creating ideas for making music.
Gourmet sneakers are potentially going to be my next purchase, along with shares of GM or Ford stock. They can’t stay at 2$ forever!
So that is basically what has kept me from posting the last few days. I’ve caught up with some friends as well and things feel great.
I think this is going to be my next purchase, and subsequently, all of the following volumes as I finish each predecessor. That and I also need some new AA plain Ts for the spring.
This is currently in the works, and who knows how long before I will put on the finishing touches but I have got to stay motivated.
Scott and I created a President’s Day Mixtape to celebrate the glorious day. We went to Circuit City and played Wii, among many other festive activities, including cooking steak, green pepper and cheese omelets for breakfast. Here is a snapshot of the playlist in iTunes. Feel free to post anything you think we missed as it was put together in about 15 minutes worth of time.
Other name ideas for the mixtape were as follows:
John Mixgerald Kennedy
Umixes S. Grant
Oh, and I think Charles Hamilton’s latest Mixtape, Well Isn’t This Awkward is his best to date because his flow over the soulful samples is supreme.
It has been so windy today it knocked the power out four or five times today already.
I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to post about and I was thinking about all kinds of things all day at work and by the time I got home, I was mentally wiped and forgot the good majority of it. I did write a few lines today, which I guess can be said were inspired by my financial surroundings but here is a glimpse:
Every day on the TV a bank’s getting billions from the bailout
I don’t even have enough change to buy a stamp to get my mail out
I’ll come back later and post again if I remember. On another note, I am stoked to proof E’s book this weekend.
When you find work like this it inspires you. Or at least it inspires me. It makes me want to use my mind to create something out of nothing.
Check them all out here. Big thanks to Mike Rivamonte.
I am really dying for a new pair of sneaks, but I know that I definitely should spend the money. I also saw a special online today for flights to Europe and I could get to London, Paris, Madrid, etc. for 400$. AND the dollar is playing hardball right now and making a comeback on the Euro and Pound so now would be a great time to travel.
My next set of rhymes will have at least 5 different classic wrestlers mentioned in it.
Anyone who wants to paint in about a month, call or email me and let me know because we are doing the whole house.
One week until my tax rebate gets here and then I unfortunately have to send a large chunk of it back home to pay off part of my car and my TV.
Finally got the nollie 360 flip to grind down the hubba ledge, suck it P-Rod.
