After reading today’s Kaufmann Mercantile post on the evolution of toothpaste and also the inclusion of fluoride in toothpaste(as well as the interesting facts behind why the USA is the only country to still use widespread fluoridation on the nation’s water supply), I feel a strong urge to start trying some natural toothpastes. Has anyone ever used any and have any suggestions? I don’t want it to taste like I’m brushing my teeth with dirt and patchouli. Also, please don’t call me a hippie.

This is an advert from the first toothpaste in the liquid, tubed form that we know today. What a great name for the product. If this still existed I would buy it on aesthetic and name value alone.
