Man-Boy Part II

Posted in tv by arcanedufresne on February 26, 2010

Going back to yesterday’s post of being a twenty-five year old man-boy, today I was having a conversation with some co-workers about the cartoons of the late 80’s and early 90’s that we grew up on. I managed to scour the internet and piece together a pretty comprehensive list of some of my favorites from that period in time. Sometimes I feel like I am the only person who watched some of these shows (Cowboys of Moo Mesa, Gravedale High, Dinosaucers). How come no one remembers Gravedale High?? Rick Moranis was the teacher at a school that housed the adolescent versions of Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman and so many other awesome creatures. What were you watching when you were eight years old?

I used to watch Beetlejuice all the time. What a great cartoon. Thank you for reminding me!

I’d add Dennis the Menace, on afterschool with KMEG’s Tim Poppen. I’m not sure if Doug or Rocko’s Modern Life were early 90s, but they were good.

biker mice from mars was amazing and cut from the air way way too soon. I remember I almost wrote the television station. I didn’t and its one of my life’s greatest failures among many many many others.
