The 100 Page Comic

Posted in accomplices/associates, art, inspiration by arcanedufresne on April 26, 2010

Jason Turner has created this epicly awesome idea for a one page comic. Here’s what you do: grab a book; open it up to page 100; draw a one page comic based on the content of the book’s page 100.

What I am hoping to do is try my hand at a few of these but ultimately, get a slew of friends involved in this as well. We could all draw a few comics from some of our favorite books or books we are currently reading and then I would have everyone mail me there comics and compile them in a hand-bound DIY “100 Page Comic.”

I need participation to make this successful. All you need to do is pick a book, find page 100 (make sure the books has 100 pages first), draw a one page comic on a standard sheet of 8″x11.5″ paper and then mail it to me unfolded in some sort of manila envelop to protect your creation.

Any takers? Let me know if you are interested.

Edit: Would it be kind of cool to get 100 different one page comic interpretations from page 100 of 100 different books to make the final compilation?
