(Don’t judge me, I panicked.)
What a fantastically awkward video. It’s Twin Shadow day today. Go get the album for one bone at his site.
More often than not, when listening to music, songs manage to create mini-movies in my head. Starting at the 2:09 mark of Drink, Drank, Drunk by A Sunny Day In Glasgow, I see my brother and me riding mopeds on the sunniest day you’ve ever seen with the sky so blue it’s almost white at the top, squinting head first into the sun and wind and the open road in front of us.
Some day, I will make a thousand mini-movies and soundtrack them with the song I always heard them with in my head.
Back on track with the Friday Chronicles, I apologize for the delay.
Rising from the grime in Gary, Indiana, Freddie Gibbs hopped on stage with Kendrick Lamar and GZA, The Genius, last night somewhere in Cali. I’ve been giving Freddie’s Str8 Killa No Filla mixtape some heavy rotation, especially the latter half of the album, so go check it out.
Ty I need to get back on deck, where you at? Thanks to Ells and Atiba for this P-Rod photo.
Dan Hipp has been popping up in various locations on my Google Reader blogs and I loved his work since I saw his rendition of Aquaman on the iFanboy Weekly Sketch-Up a couple months back. His blog is full of amazing work and still has a handful of prints for sale as well.
